Fragment of a sistrum?

hathor shrine

One very interesting fragment of wood has been found. It was located in Shaft F inside the tomb. The main feature of this object isback-to-back masks of Hathor. She is shown with the conventional cow ears and flat human face. On top of the head is a naos with uraei bearing sun discs in the central niche.

The most likely origin for this item is that it is part of a votive sistrum or sacred column of Hathor. One similar item has been noted in the Fitzwilliam Museum in Cambridge.
