Pottery from the burial of Senneferi

More than 120 vessels were discovered in the course of the excavation of the underground chambers of TT99. Above are shown two marl clay jars, simply and beautifully decorated in the style of the Thutmoside period in which Senneferi lived. They would probably have been used for storing liquids.
