Recent changes to
Senneferi WWW pages |
The purpose of this page is to enable readers to see quickly what has changed at what dates. I shall do my best to keep this up to date.
Readers should note that as the work in the field is now completed, updates will not be very regular, but as we find out new things and make progress with the publication of the project.
Use the panel at the right for an automatic way of keeping up to date with this page.

- May 2018: much interest in TT99 ostraka!
- August 2017: entry on shrine or sistrum fragment changed to reflect recent research, also new photo.
- July 2016: first volume of TT99 goes to publisher!
- January 2010: sort of major renovation on the site, caused by the move from Golive 7 to Dreamweaver CS4. Very little of the content has changed, although a few of the features of Dreamweaver have been used to display stuff better, and there are a number of updated and larger versions of the images. Most of the changes are in the cleaning up of the HTML and bringing it up to a higher standard.
- 28 June 2008: taken advantage of the web slide shows in Photoshop CS4 to add a gallery of the unusual mummy overlaid with plaster.
- 20 April 2009: inspired by a request from Thierry Benderitter (www.osirisnet.net), I have redone the pages about the wall paintings, to include more text, and, particularly, large photos of the paintings. Every wall in the tomb with decoration is now accessible from an improved clickable map of the chapel. I thank M Benderitter for encouraging me in this!
- 3 March 2009: it has been announced that the tomb of Amenhotep (lost tomb C.3) has been found. More in a report from Reuters. This tomb-owner was the son-in-law of Senneferi, and a statue of him was found in TT99.
- 31 January 2009: we are beginning an experiment of putting the raw excavation data online into a searchable database. The form is available here.
- 6 January 2009: the server used for this site is changing. See http://www.fitzmuseum.cam.ac.uk/er/newsdir/New_Server.html
- 11 December 2008: as an aid to ongoing research, I've added images of some of the Senneferi jar labels. They may be accessed via the ceramic pages.
- 19 July 2008: I've always been the conservative type as regards bandwidth, but I think now most people have faster connections, so I've increased the size and resolution of most of the videos. They take up more room on screen now, but are only about twice the size of the files which have been on the site up to now.
- 29 June 2008: URL change. The site should now be accessed via www.newton.ac.uk/egypt/tt99--the Newton Institute has dropped the "cam" which had been in the address.
- 16 June 2008: the entries on Papyri and Shrouds have been updated to reflect some of the research on them by Dr Irmtraut Munro.
- 14 April 2008: a search option has been added to the home page using the Freefind system. The results, which appear in a separate window, do have advertisements at the top.
Changes before 2007 will be found here.
