Other work

  1. Two new shaft covers were obtained so that all shafts inside the tomb are now made safe.
  2. Pottery from the courtyard and courtyard shafts no longer required for further study has now been placed in the central shaft of the rear of the tomb, with its original contexts clearly identified.
  3. A visit to the SCA magazine adjacent to the Carter House was made on 28 December to examine and study further the objects previously recorded in the register book and stored there. All objects are still in the same condition as when placed there in 1993 and 1994. A proposal was made to Dr Mohamed Nasr, Director of the Luxor Museum, for the inclusion of the statue of Amenhotep (from TT99 and now in the SCA magazine) in the display in the new wing of the museum presently under development.
  4. Visits were made to the following tombs for the purposes of comparative study: TT29, TT46, TT93 and TT96A. Many important insights were gained from parallels in these tombs with TT99.
