Conclusions and the future

It is very satisfying to report that the excavation phase of the work in TT99 has now finished. Study, however, is still not in its final phase, and at least one further season will be needed to complete the study of the various categories of material which have been discovered since 1993. It is absolutely essential that this work be completed. However, presently identifiable funding sources have been exhausted, and it is unclear how such further work is going to be financed. I have indicated above how important the contents of the burial chamber of Senneferi could be, and I very much hope that it will be possible to find the funds and the time to complete this work as swiftly as possible.
